Good info on local history, craft, clothing, fishing equipment, and fauna (marine and terrestrial). It would be better if Iqaluit were readily accessible from more airports than Ottawa and Yellowknife. Perhaps they have banned smoking in restaurants by now, that would be excellent. The visitor centre seems to be a new addition to the infrastructure of Iqaluit. Take a dog sled trip while in town. They tested the Airbus A380 here, too.
A must see place if in Iqaluit! They have a collection of artwork with a self guided printed information. The museum staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful! The other part of the gallery was prints and works done by well known artists. It was worth the time to experience!
